Christmas fun

We went over to our dear friends the Sylvesters home for a little Christmas celebration. It was so fun to just have dinner, hang out. and let our kids play together. They always have so much fun. The kids even got to make a gingerbread manger. It was fun for the older kids....The twins were not that interested. LOL There was even a brown man acting at the pooper scooper behind the manger. Yeah it got kinda out of hand. LOL So funny. The kids also made ornaments.

The finished product!

these are some cute aprons and hats that their girls got.

Somehow all the little kids ended up with no tops on. LOL

Rainbow Crayon's

I'm sure you mom's out there have seen this craft. I have wanted to do it for a while and finally had an afternoon that we needed a craft to keep us busy. It is basically using old crayons and baking them in muffin pans to make your own colored crayons. Here are how ours turned out....

First we took off all of the paper.

An exact o knife helped speed things along.

Then we separated them by color.

Then we put them in the muffin tin in whatever color pattern your little heart desires! :)

Then we baked them. I think we did 240 degrees. But I found as long as you watched them it probably didn't matter what temp you bake them at. When they were melted I took them out and put them in the fridge until they were solid. Maybe like 20 or 30 minutes.

When they were ready they literally just popped right out.

Then the coloring fun began!!

T Shirt Dress

Well I finally tried one of those cute T Shirt dresses I have been seeing. I came across someones blog and theirs turned out so cute I thought ... " I can do that ". I did and lets just say it was not perfect. I learned a few things that I will have to do differently the next time. Here are a few pics of them after I got done making them. They were in such a good mood I just had to take some pictures.....

They were laughing so hard. I love it when they are both in a good mood.

Emma kept running to the corner where the flooring is not done of coarse!

Hopefully the next ones will be sewn a little better and fit a little better.

Shana's Necklaces

Look at these necklaces!!!.......

They are so cute! But the best part is I know who made them! My good friend Shana has a knack for being crafty. She made one of these for herself when she saw how much they were to buy $175! Yikes! Well she sure did a great job. She got tons of compliments from friends and everyone told her she needed to sell them. Well she is going to give it a go. I'm sure they will sell so fast she won't be ready for it. Please check out her blog for more info oh and by the way her prices are awesome!!

$45 for little embellishing and shipping
$55 for A LOT of embellishment and shipping

My own DIY!!

Ethan needed some new storage for his soon to be room because there is no closet. I saw this cute small dresser drawers at Ikea and thought that I could do something with it....Here is what I did.....

Here is how I did it.....
This is a photo of the Ikea drawers before

I first painted the whole thing white. After it was all dry I cut out some NY Yankees symbols out of contact paper and arranged them on the front of the drawers. NOTE....make sure they are on really good or else the dark paint will bleed.

Then I painted over the contact paper with blue paint....2 coats.

After it dried completely I peeled off the contact paper. It did bleed a little bit which I touched up by hand with some white paint.

Done!!!!
