The Littlest Christmas Tree

I just got back from watching my big boy in his first Preschool Christmas play. It was called The Littlest Christmas Tree. Ethan was the biggest tree. Its about three trees, two of them get picked by a family and the littlest one gets left alone. Then bunnies come and decorate it with berries and garland and it feels like a Christmas tree too!! Such a cute play and all of the kids did such a great job. I got some pic but they turned out kinda crappy. I am so proud of our little boy. He is getting too big too fast. He was so excited for the play and did such an awesome job!!
Ethan was so funny...The second we go there he ran right to where he was supposed to stand for the play.

The Three Christmas Trees.

Singing a song

His part of the play is over. :) Waiting patiently.

ZOMBIE LAB!!

Ethan has been asking for Dr. Dreadful Zombie LAB forever!! He sees the commercial on TV and goes crazy. It is gross....to say the least. You make things like zombie barf and bubbling brains. We made some super yucky stuff the other day and Ethan was loving it. The barf was.......not good.... tasteless but the texture was YUCK! The bubbling brains were sour and better than the barf but still. LOL Yeah he is one happy boy. Now he wants all of the other "accessories" that go along with the lab that he has, like the stomach churner. Oh boy

 Trying the zombie barf!

looks like he like it! LOL
 Making the bubbling brains
 mixing the bubbling brains
EATING the sour bubbling brains!!!

ETHAN'S 5!!

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that Ethan is 5 already. It honestly seems like it was yesterday that we were just starting our family. He has grown into such a smart, kind, and funny little boy......no......BIG boy. After thoughts of doing a Justin Beiber Birthday party ( with some help steering him away from that idea ) he decided to have a Cars birthday party. This is the first year we have done it at home and I have to say it was a great success! Everyone had such a good time and I think Ethan had just as much fun as going somewhere.

This is the first game I had planned....They punched out a light and there was a car and some candy for them.
The second game was pin the car on the racetrack and a racetrack ramp for them to play on.
AND..... a finish line PHOTO to end the game portion of the night!

After opening many fun presents he was so excited to get MATH DICE from his Auntie Stacy! Silly kid!
 Everyone watching Ethan open presents.
He was so cute...He kept his foot like that the whole time to keep his presents from falling.
He LOVES the show Minute to Win IT!
And the gift he has been asking for for WEEKS......drum roll........DR. Dreadful ZOMBIE LAB!!! (YUCK) LOL
 CAKE!
Playing one of his new games with his friends!!
Oh and another movie he was super excited about was the JUSTIN BEIBER MOVIE of course. LOL Thanks Sylvester FAM!!

I cant believe you are already 5 ETHAN!! I love you so much! I hope you had a great birthday!!

Preschool!

One week ago today my little boy started PRESCHOOL!!! What? He is old enough for that? I just can't believe he is getting so big! He has been SO ready to start school. He can already read.......write words.....and color in the lines so I don't know how much he will learn academically but he sure has enjoyed being with other kids his age. Our dear friend from high school has a cute little Preschool in her house and it is within walking distance of Mikes work.

We went to meet his teacher the week before he started school. We got there and she has a fun scavenger hunt set up. You got picture of somewhere in the house and had to find that place. Then you got another picture until the end one that was in the preschool room. They had a cookie and juice waiting for them. Miss Kim had all the kids say their name and something fun about themselves. All of the other kids were kind of shy and mainly had to have their moms help them. Ethan was last and when it was his turn he jumped up and rant to the middle of the room and said "My name is ETHAN MICHAEL JINKS, and I like to play basketball and I like monster trucks!" ( he really isn't a fan of monster trucks......some other kid just said it first. LOL) When it was time to leave he was upset that he didn't get to go to school that day!

They made this chain with fun facts about themselves to take a link off every day until preschool started.
This is his cute teacher Miss Kim and her son Boston!
 This is his classroom.
This is the present he took for Miss Kim on his first day.........and the present that was waiting for him at the kitchen table.

His bowl of cereal before school!

I bribed him and said he could make a funny face if he did a nice smile for me after! LOL He got a New York Yankees backpack for his present!
Here is the cute smile one! :)

On the first day when Mike dropped him off he ran up to Miss Kim and gave her a big hug and said " I love you Miss Kim!"

He has already got mad at me for picking him up on time because he wanted to hear the story that she was reading while everyone got picked up.

He also pointed out a girl and said her name was Nadia and told me he loves her.
oh boy

My LIL golfer

Ethan is going to be the next Tiger Woods!! I just know it! He has the same passion and his skill is pretty great for a 4 year old! I have loved the few times that I have gone out and golfed 9 with him this year. We have gone a few times on Sunday afternoon and my mom just watched the twins so Me, Mike, Ethan and my Dad could go. We have such a great time. Ethan loves the little snacks that my mom will give him to take to the course too. LOL. Gotta love grandmas! We even recently got him a little golf glove and golf shoes! He is on his way...Watch out Tiger!!

I took this pic right before Ethan hit the best shot of his life! He hit it perfect and it went way far! Mike had just asked him where the pin was so he could aim correctly. That's what he is pointing at.

Today Im a proud momma!

Today I took Ethan to the doctor for what was supposed to be his 4 year old check up. Getting him in kind of got lost in the shuffle of the holidays. He was so awesome. He is in the 98% for height and average for weight, so tall and skinny! He did all of the little tests so well. His sight is awesome, coordination is great and he can even hop on one foot, which apparently most boys cant do til age 5?? He was so brave getting 3 shots and now is done with his shots til Jr. High!! He even thanked the nurse after the shots while he was still crying. He has always been really pale so the doc thought we should have his iron tested. Soooo another poke! He was so brave getting his blood drawn. He only cried for a minute with all of his shots and then was his happy self again. While we were in the waiting room of the lab he was reading a book and two women asked how old he was and commented on how great of a reader he was! One was even a preschool teacher!
