Christmas Day part 2

Then after a nice afternoon nap for the kids and Mike we go over to Grandma Yoshi's house for dinner and even more presents. Phhhheewwww What a day! My grandma always goes overboard on gifts. She got us all a Jazz jacket (which she has done before.....a few times). Ethan got Elefun from The Ginns and we had so much fun playing it!

Ethan kept looking in his net to see how many he caught and then by that time all the butterflies were gone.

Sophie had fun clearing off all the adds off the coffee table
BUBBLES!!

Christmas DAY!!

Christmas day was so much fun. I was so excited for Ethan to open all of his gifts. This year we had mikes parents over in the morning and Merrilene made some YUMMMY Scones. We ate and opened our presents. Santa was very good to Ethan this year....He got a WII and his own iPod touch (which we think is more a present for mom and dad so they can have their i phones to themselves ;0) The girls were spoiled too. They got a ton of toys. Me and mike decided to just do $10 gifts for each other so I got him a movie and a mouse pad that has pics of the kids on it. He got me a bag of rice crackers.....Which I love and a toothpaste dispenser so I can brush my teeth after the stinky crackers. LOL I loved it!!!

After we finished up at our house we headed over to my moms house to see what Santa left for the kids there. We ate some more breakfast and opened some more presents. Ethan got a snow suit and a fun bowling alley and a ton of other stuff and the girls got some cute clothes, twin cabbage patch dolls and another baby sled so we can go play in the snow. Mike and I got some money to help finish furnishing our home. I am so thankful for our parents who help make every Christmas so wonderful for us and our kids!

Always gotta have a pic in front of the tree

Awww Twins!!

FUN! BOWLING!

This was so funny. The girls were crawling over each other to get some snacks.

Christmas eve

HLike I said before in a previous post our Christmas Eve / Christmas Day activities are CRAZY! But I love every hectic minute of it. On Christmas eve day we went out to eat with Mike's parents and Uncle Mitch at Tucanos. It was nice and quite there and we had the waiters pretty much all to ourselves. The kids loved the food. Ethan gobbled up some brisket that they brought out first. I loved their mashed potatoes and yummy cheese ball things. MMMmmmm. Then we came home and let Ethan take a short nap and then we were off to my Aunt Kelly's house. I always love going there. Her home is so cute! I love all of her decorations. We ate some yummy food, had a white elephant exchange and opened our gifts from each other. Then after that we headed to our long time family friends the Jamesons. We are usually there until pretty late.....like 11. So by the time that we got home we had just enough energy to put out Santa's Milk and cookies then we crashed.

Ethan's white elephant gift was the movie The Oustiders
Sophie got Tabasco sause boxers....that someone stole. Phew

Mike had Paige's name and we got her a SNUGGIE!! She loved it!
I got a Scentsy warmer from Bradi and Mike got a UTES SNUGGIE!! How fun!
Thanks everyone for all the gifts!

This picture cracks me up because Ethan was so tired by the time we got to Roz's house

Traditions

Well ever sense I can remember growing up we always opened one present on Christmas Eve......which turned out to be PJ's. I wanted to start this tradition in our family but because Christmas Eve tends to be WAY busy for us I decided that tonight would be close enough. Just one day off right?? Anyways the kids opened their Christmas PJ's and the girls seemed to be more interested in all of the wrapping. Surprise right? I put them right in their new digs and snapped some pictures before baking our Santa cookies. OTIS SPUNKMEIER!!! MMmmmmmm So delicious and so easy! What a lucky Santa! When I asked Ethan if he wanted one of the cookies he said " No, because they are for Santa." So cute!

Next tradition I want to start is Elf on a Shelf. I never had it growing up but it is such a cute concept and apparently keeps the kids on their best behavior before Christmas. Maybe next year

Happy Halloween
