Well about two weeks ago we took the girls in for their 12 month appointment and they got their immunizations. I think one of them was chicken pox because now Emma is breaking out in little red dots on her belly and back. Poor little thing! They both started having a fever and flu like symptoms on Sunday and now they are both just really fussy. The doc also said that Emma has an ear infection on top of it! Sophie has a few tiny red dots like when I first started to see Emma's so we will see. I guess it is better to get them out of the way now if they are going to get them.
They get much redder in the tub.
BUT ..... at least they are happy in the tub. For the most part they are unhappy when they are out.
I just have to keep reminding myself we will get through this!
UPDATE : They do not have the chicken pox. I called the doc and she said that the girls did not get the vaccine when they came in.....it was probably from the MMR shot. 1 in 10 kids get rash like bumps mainly on their torso. But Emma does have an ear infection and that is probably what is making her so fussy. POOR GIRLS~!
Did I read correctly that there is an ear infection also? If there is antibiotics being taken, keep a close eye on those red spots. Linus had the same thing and I thought he had chicken pox and 3 days later, his body was covered in giant red hives. He had an allergic reaction to his penicillin. Good luck either way though, no fun having sick kids. Even though they are adorable!
