Ok here is my problem.........

I have awful ...... AWFUL animal allergies. I have had them all my life. I am able to deal with them now a little better but oh boy do they just kill me. My throat is closing up and my eyes are itching just thinking about it.

Every year when the holidays come around and its time to visit family I get SOOOooo excited to see all of my loving family members and friends but then........I REMEMBER. I don't know how , every year, I seem to "forget" that I am so dang allergic to their CUTE and ADORABLE pets. I usually am ok for the first little bit but then slowly......my nose starts to run, my throat starts to tighten, my eyes get runny, and I start to sneeze with no control what so ever. Ok so its not that bad but it is REALLY annoying. I feel like I am just not myself. I sneeze a lot and sometimes it feels like I can't breathe. I feel like I can't socialize like I normally would. I have such great family members and bless their hearts for always cleaning their furniture and keeping the animals out of the room.

I just feel so sad for having this stupid allergy. I have never been able to really like animals because any time I am around them i am just miserable.

Don't look at me like that cute little pup! I love looking at pics of you but I am just so allergic to your little body! Im sorry

So anyways........here is my question........WHAT CAN I DO? I have tried all the meds that you can think of, most of them just making me sleepy and not helping the allergies at all. I have thought about the shots but have looked into them and i think it takes up to 6 months to even begin to see the results......and you have to go to the doctor to get the shots and PFFFHHHh do you think I have time for that? Please anyone help me! I just want to have a nice time visiting and laughing with my family and not have to worry about trying to breathe.

Please help me so I can enjoy these little cute little things.............
