Just an UPDATE on the twins....

Im sure most of you have heard that I was in the hospital over the weekend well here is the story.... I had a regular doc appt on Friday and he checked me and said that I was 1 1/2 CM dilated and 50% effaced, for those of you who don't know what that means ... its not good. So he told me that I would need to go on bed rest and stop working. They gave me a shot in my butt that would develope the babies lungs just incase they came early. WOW what a shock. I felt fine and was just so concerned about the babies. I called my job and told them that I couldnt work and informed family and friends. I relaxed that day and then Saturday morning at about 5:30 am I started to have what I thought were Braxton hicks contractions, well they lasted about an hour and were getting really frequent. I called my doc and he said to go into the hospital. I went and they admited me. They put me on meds that stopped the contractions and the progress of labor. They also gave me one more of the lung developing shots for the babies. I stayed in the hospital all of saturday and sunday and came home this morning. It has been an emotional ride but I know I have lots of friends and family praying for me and the babies. I have another doc appt on Thursday and I will keep everyone updated, in the mean time I will updating my blog. I havent been on for the longest time so expect some cute pics to come.

Ethans cousin Hana

Mikes sister Malia sent us some adorable pics of Hana at her 4 year old photo shoot. They are sooooo cute!!! All Ethan can say when we show him the picture is HANA HANA HANA. I can't believe she is getting so big. We miss you guys and hope to see you soon!

Birthdays! Birthdays!

Well its birthday season in the Miyake family. Jessica had her birthday on Sept. 14, Tee's was in September. Ashley's birthday is this weekend, and Debbie and me are also this month!! Happy Birthday to US!!! Here are some pics from Jessica's birthday....

Its about time....

So Ive been getting alot of guff for not updating my blog. Well here you go... We went out to dinner with my cousin Ashley. She lives in Cedar City now going to school and so we miss her a ton!! WE LOVE YOU ASHLEY!! We had some delicious food and you cant go there without getting the Chocolate Molten Cake. YUMMM !!! Ethan kept us entertained with all of his new tricks....

The Utah State Fair

We ventured to the Utah State Fair last week and had a great time. Ethan loved seeing all of the animals and eating all of the fun treats like chocolate covered strawberries. Yuuummmm One thing we didnt try but mike really wanted to was the deep fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich...my thoughts YUCK.

We went shopping today at Babies R Us and while we were there the Kiddie Kandids photographer asked if we had a minute to take a few pics of Ethan. His hair is crazy and he had been wearing the clothes that he had on all day and spilled many things on it. All in all they turned out quite good. He is so cute and did so well with the photographer. It makes me want to get some more photos of him done. I guess that is the purpose of a free 5x7. . . . show you how cute they look on a photo and they will book again for a "real" sitting. It was fun.

1st Zoo trip

Yesterday we took Ethan to the Zoo for the first time. We had so much fun. Ethan knows a whole bunch of animal sounds now and it was fun for us to show him the animals in real live. He can do an elephant , lion, monkey and many more that are just as cute as can be. I was surprised that I made it as long as I did being prego with twins. Here are some cute pics of our little family outing....

He didnt really know what to think of the merry go round. He was just happy to see the lion.

I think that his favorite animals were the meercats. They were the most active and he could get right up close and see them run around.

We got him a little juice cup and he just wouldnt put it down.


There is this huge wooden elephant that you can sit on his trunk . What a cute photo op.


Ethan wouldnt sit still for 2 seconds so I could get a good pic of him on the spider.


And you cant go to the zoo without a pic of the kid in a huge egg!!
