After bath time this is what I came in to find my girls doing.....and giggling! LOL....

 Lately the kids love to sit and watch dad play his golfing game on the xBox!

Say what?

I haven't done a post in a while about what the kids are saying lately so here it is....

You know when people.....(mainly Bill Cosby).... say " Kids say the darndest things?" ITS SO TRUE. I love the things that come out of Ethan's mouth. He is quite the comedian. He is so smart, sometimes I think a little to smart for his own good. Here are a few of the silly things that he has said lately.....

Ethan
Me: "Emma and  Sophie do you want to get down?" ( from their high chair )
Ethan: "The silly baby wants to get down"
          "The normal baby doesn't"

Ethan: "Wanna hear a funny question?" ( a joke )
          "Whats a dog's favorite food?"
Me: "I don't know."
Ethan: "Popcorn!!!" Hahahahahahahah
Ethan: "Why did the pig cross the road?"
Me: "I don't know, why?"
Ethan: "Because he wanted to get a chicken!" Hahahahaha

Ethan: "Do you have long arms?"
Mom: "yeah" ( holding my arms out)
Ethan: "It looks like an angel"
Mom: "You think mommy looks like an angel?"
Ethan: "Only at the beach, you look like a beach angel!"

Ethan: "Is this Selena Gomez mom?"
Me: "Yup"
Ethan: " I LOVE her"

Also he has been singing this song lately.....
" If you wanna get with me theres some things you gotta know"
" I like my beat fast, and my base down low" " Babababa base down low"
So funny!!!!

Sophie has also become a talker! In fact she does most of the talking for both her and her sister. Here is what she has been saying lately.....

Every once in a while she will come up to me and say....
" Whatcha doin mom?"

She is also always very concerned about her sister. Its like she always needs to know where she is. If she notices that Emma is gone she wills say
" Where Emma GO?"

Lately when I am getting her some food she will say
" AWWWwwww CUTE"

When she lays back she says she is "AXIN" ( relaxin"

She also says "LOOK AT ME" when she is doing something

And one of my FAVS is when she gives me a hug she says "Ohhhhh Mommy CUTE"

Oh and now she says " Why mom, WHY?" Uhhhh Oh im in trouble now. LOL

Emma still doesn't say much. Mainly she just giggles which is soooooo cute! Her speech therapy is going well.
She has learned a little sign language.
She can say "More juice please" while signing too.
She says down when she wants to get off of her chair.
She can say Momma and Dada
She also knows a ton of animal sounds.
Oh and "NO" she says all the time!

I sure do love these kids of mine!!

Obon 2011

Well this years Obon Festival started off  a little weird.....RAIN in the afternoon?! All day we were keeping our fingers crossed that we wouldn't have to dance in the rain. To continue the weirdness when the festival was about to start they had some issues with the music....which made us all just hang around til it was fixed. Then at one point of the night tons of audience members started dancing before the audience participation dances. Weird. Not to mention the girls kept wondering off. One minute Sophie was there and the next no one knew where she was. My heard dropped. I started to panic and running all over. I ran into the middle where the stage was and she was just standing there. I feel like crying just writing about it. I NEVER want to feel like I might have lost one of my kids EVER AGAIN. It was so scary. Then later Emma just walked away and sat next to some stranger. Boy my kids have no fear. I can see how some people like to use those leashes.

Despite all of the weird things that happened it was still a very fun Obon night. I love seeing all of the people dressed up in their kimonos. I love dancing in honor of all of my loved ones that have passed away. I love remembering my Grandpa Yo. I have been thinking about him a lot lately.

I love my family so much and am so blessed to have the family that I do.

4th of JULY Day

On the fourth of July we went to my Grandma Yorks. It is always fun to get up there and visit with family. Uncle Jim grilled some yummy food and Aunt Tami and Brittney were visiting from Cali. It was a little overcast that day so it was perfect weather. The kids LOVED  grandmas tire swing. Emma was in it at one point for at least 30 minutes. Then we headed home and swam for a little and had friends over for a BBQ and more Beer PONG!! Gotta LOVE that game! Me, Ash and Caroline didn't make one shot in one of the games ( which is called a SKUNK run ) so we had to sit under the table for the WHOLE next game. LOL

So. Salt Lake Firework party @ YOSHIS

I can't believe it is already the 4th of July! As usual we went over to grandma Yoshi's house on Saturday. Ash and I decorated the lawn with Flour stars ( didn't work as well as expected ) and the sidewalk with chalk. It was SUPER hot that day! The Sylvester fam and Neil joined us too. It was fun to have so much family and friends to celebrate. We even played some Beer pong! Sophie didn't like the fireworks too much and wanted to go inside pretty quick, Emma LOVED them, and Ethan wanted me to hold his ears the whole time then gave up and went inside too. I sure love my kids! I had such a great time celebrating  this year. Thanks to everyone who came and made it awesome.
